Pax Autocratica launched into Steam Early Access on August 10, 2026 and is receiving rapid developer Directives. This tracker covers only base AppID 1067360 and separates released changes from roadmap discussion. Use the newest dated entry first, then recheck the live game before relying on a balance value or an old workaround.
Current verified status
Product
Pax Autocratica base game on Steam, AppID 1067360.
Release state
Early Access since August 10, 2026.
Latest checked Directive
AG-14, published August 15, 2026.
Native platform
Windows PC on the public Steam listing.
The update date does not identify a public semantic version because the official news posts do not provide one. “After AG-14” is therefore the narrowest reproducible scope for these guides. If the library downloads a later update, read its official notes before assuming this snapshot still describes the active balance.
How to use the timeline
Each entry records what the developer announced and the practical system it affects. A fix means the named case was addressed; it does not prove that every similar symptom has disappeared. A roadmap statement means the team acknowledged or plans work; it is not listed as shipped until a later Directive confirms the change.
Keep AppID boundaries intact. Demo 1069590, Prologue 4107120, Playtest 2194080, and Prologue Playtest 4150700 are separate products. Patch behavior from one of them should not be inserted into a base-game guide without current AppID 1067360 confirmation.
Player-facing change map
Timeline
2026-08-15 - Directive AG-14 expands capture tools
Type: Gameplay and hotfix update
The developer added three advanced Capture Rounds. A target now receives temporary protection from death after a failed capture attempt, but the Leader’s melee attack bypasses that protection. This distinction changes capture discipline: players should use the protected moment to stop attacks and reset position rather than continue striking the target.
- Vortex Shell damage was increased.
- Thunderbolt Arrow received a larger area of effect.
- Saves can be sorted, including by most recently used.
- The soldier deployment menu received a 16:10 resolution fix.
- Resource hauling, Trade Port prices, wall behavior, and other colony cases received fixes.
- The note describes an attempted fix for an FSR-related crash and corrects wrong pregnancy states associated with Mandatory Reproduction.

2026-08-13 - State of the Frontline identifies priorities
Type: Development status and support guidance
The team summarized player pain points around capture and conversion, expedition repetition, soldier behavior, guidance, performance, and crashes. These items are acknowledged work areas, not all completed changes. The post also gives the current official sequence for players experiencing crashes.
- Verify the installed files through Steam.
- Disable DLSS Super Resolution.
- Disable Frame Generation.
- Contact the official Discord support community if the crash remains.
- The post discusses aging control, backups, exile, and deposit handling as delivered quality-of-life work.

2026-08-12 - Directive AG-12 adds recovery and colony controls
Type: Feature and stability update
AG-12 added a setting to disable aging, manual exile, automatic save backups, and quantity selection when depositing items. Those changes affect long-term population planning, policy actions, recovery safety, and resource allocation. The update also reduced the difficulty of Infested Nests and improved soldier upgrades.
- Prison research time changed, so older fixed-duration advice should be rechecked.
- Several crash cases received fixes, including an FSR Frame Generation issue in borderless mode.
- Command Center and Victory Square research states received repair-related corrections.
- The Serina boss indicator was fixed.
- Players should retain the automatic backup rather than using destructive save troubleshooting.

2026-08-11 - Initial maintenance addresses progression blockers
Type: Launch maintenance
The first maintenance notes addressed saving failures, an Office softlock, quest-count problems, and a Toxic Fog Core interaction with the Tree of Asherah. These narrow fixes are important when reading launch-day reports: a symptom captured before maintenance may not reproduce on the present branch.
- Recheck a blocked objective after confirming Steam completed the update.
- Do not generalize the named Toxic Fog interaction into a universal core ranking.
- Preserve the exact mission and save state when a progression problem continues.

2026-08-10 - Pax Autocratica enters Early Access
Type: Release milestone
The base game became available in Steam Early Access for Windows. The public loop combines colony construction and production, citizen and policy management, tactical expeditions, soldiers, combat, capture, and prisoner conversion. Early Access status means systems and balance can continue to change through developer Directives.
- The Steam listing supports single-player play, full controllers, Steam Cloud, and saving at any time.
- The public requirements list DirectX 11, 16 GB RAM, and 40 GB storage.
- Guides on this site use AppID 1067360 and do not inherit status from related applications.

After an update installs
Read the official note, retain a pre-update save, and test the system named by the change in a small controlled case. For capture, use an ordinary target; for a weapon core, keep the user and encounter consistent; for colony logistics, watch one complete delivery; for a crash fix, repeat the shortest known reproduction.
When behavior differs from this tracker, the later official Directive and the live AppID 1067360 interface take priority. Use Crash Fixes for stability problems, Combat for changed battle behavior, and Colony for resource or building issues.
Update acceptance rule
An entry needs a date, correct product identity, a direct official source, and a player-facing consequence. Community findings can identify what to test, but they do not replace a shipped-note record. This keeps roadmap promises, related products, and corrected launch reports from silently becoming current base-game facts.
