This Pax Autocratica index answers “what is this item, where was it observed, where does it go, and what currently uses it?” The strategy-focused Resource Guide explains how to prioritize and route supply. Keeping the lookup separate prevents patch-sensitive names and recipes from taking over the production diagnosis.
Record an entity before assigning a category
Copy the exact name from the current inventory, storage, building, trade, mission result, or objective. Add icon description only as a secondary aid; icons can change and similar art can represent different states. Record whether the entity is a raw input, processed material, food or need supply, production component, equipment-related item, mission item, trade good, or another live category.
Do not import legacy EFAS item IDs, console commands, Demo limits, or speculative complete lists. Those sources are outside the base-game public-branch boundary.
Keep sources and rates honest
One observed drop establishes a possible source, not a guaranteed rate. Record mission, destination, difficulty, and result where relevant. For gathering and production, observe several completed cycles before treating a quantity as stable, and keep worker, route, and directive context with the observation.
If a value is not visible or repeatable, omit it. A useful route with an unknown rate is safer than an exact-looking number taken from another product or patch.
Trace storage and hauling failures
When the global inventory shows stock but a building waits, locate the physical or assigned storage, confirm that it accepts the entity, and watch whether an available worker moves it. Check access, destination capacity, queue reservation, and the consumer’s repair state.
Directive AG-14 fixed cases where workers could lose resources while hauling. Treat that as a historical fix and a reason to record the current route, not proof that every missing stack has the same cause.
Separate reserves by purpose
Tag current stock as survival, active objective, replacement, trade, or discretionary production. The tag does not change game mechanics; it helps you avoid consuming food or repair material in a long queue. Manual deposit quantities added in AG-12 can help split a stack between destinations.
Trading Port prices received an AG-14 fix. Read the live offer before every decision and record both sides of the exchange. Do not present one observed price as permanent value.
Maintain the index after updates
Recheck entries named by official directives or whose building, mission, trade, and recipe changed. Keep prior observations dated rather than merging incompatible values. Link weapons to the Weapons List, cores to the Core List, and facilities to the Building List so each entity family has one canonical home.
Add an urgency note for items that block an objective or colony need. The note should name the waiting consumer and the available reserve, not declare the resource permanently rare. An item can be abundant in storage yet urgent at a disconnected building; another can be scarce but irrelevant until a later unlock.
For transformed materials, link every step in both directions. The raw entry points to its processor and output, while the finished entry points back to its inputs. This lets a player trace a shortage from either end without duplicating the strategic production advice.
